Arun joined Yahoo! Labs in 2007 as a Research Engineer. Since then he has been working with PSOX group on information extraction technologies and management systems.
His interests lie in the areas of artificial intelligence (thanks to Star Trek and Asimov), machine learning, information extraction and web scalable systems. He played around with Neural Networks for his Bachelor Thesis and with Reinforcement Learning for his Master's. He currently enjoys delving deep into various machine learning algorithms he gets to use for information extraction in Yahoo! Someday, he plans to work in the convergence of ML and AI.
On the other side, he likes to dabble in poetry and sometimes in short stories. He loves to read books and playing games (video, indoor, outdoor).
