Börkur Sigurbjörnsson is a researcher at Yahoo! Research Barcelona, working on multimedia retrieval and mining. Börkur is active in the European project "Search Environments for Media", SEMEDIA. Börkur received his PhD from the Informatics Institute of the University of Amsterdam in 2006.
