Profile
Justin M. Rao joined the microeconomics group at Yahoo! Research in 2010. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California San Diego, granted in April 2010. Justin is a behavioral economist focusing on belief formation, information processing and strategic decision making. He is interested in how departures from normative standards of rationality can be explained by psychological features of the information structure, experience and incentives. He also pursues interdisciplinary work in social psychology and attention/perception.
