Givin’ You More of What You’re Funkin’ For: DJs and the Internet

Abstract:
In this article, I speculate about the future of Internet audience participation. Based on research conducted at Yahoo! Research where we studied how DJs are using webcasting technologies, I discuss the possible future for Internet media spaces, and for the ways in which remote individuals and audiences will be able to experience and participate in live performances.
