Profile
Dr. Omid Madani joined Yahoo! Research with the acquisition of Overture in 2003. Dr. Madani earned a PhD in computer science at the University of Washington and worked for a year in the Industry before becoming a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alberta. During this period, he won the Alberta Ingenuity Asscociateship. He is a native of Iran, and has lived in Iran (Bandar Abbas and Tehran), Dubai (UAE) and North America.
