Yahoos arrive at UCSD
On Thursday, Nov 29th Yahoo scientists and engineers spoke at the UC San Diego Women in Computing student organization’s lunch talk at the UCSD campus in the Jacobs School of Engineering. Yahoos gave talks about their journey from university graduation to the current position, exciting technologies they’re working on, and showed demos of Yahoo’s Flickr and Into Now products, giving students a peak into the technology behind them. They shared tips and learnings on the benefits of internships, what skills students should be focusing on, and how best to showcase one’s work experience when entering industry.
In addition Yahoo scientists and engineers were able to meet with key faculty and are looking forward to collaborating with UCSD Women in Computing next quarter.
