Alyssa Glass is Senior Research Director for Intelligent Communications at Yahoo Research, where she leads a team of scientists focused on deep natural language understanding (NLU), engagement metrics, and knowledge understanding. Her team develops innovations around metrics, data science, NLU, ML, relevance and ranking, experimentation, and knowledge graphs. She is broadly interested in artificial intelligence, explanation systems, and how users interact with intelligent systems. Previous work at SRI International, Willow Garage, and Xerox PARC touched on research related to intelligent task execution, multi-agent systems, and robotics. Alyssa has a PhD from Stanford University and a BA from Harvard University, both in computer science.
