Durga Sankari has joined Yahoo! in 2007 and have worked on many projects from driving directions for Maps to Fraud detection and from frontend technologies to Machine Learning techniques. Her interests is on studying data to identify patterns and user behaviors online, develop and train ML models over huge dataset and apply them at scale to drive user engagement, personalization, monetization and stopping fraud. She has been concentrating on account compromise and has developed various models and automated pipelines to facilitate the detection earlier. Prior to this, she has worked on user saliency for determining the effective segments on any given web page/image which is used for ad-campaigns, mail monetization and mouse tracking.
