I received my MSc degree in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa, Italy in 2005. Then, after almost three years in industry as a software engineer (first at NETikos then at Sysdat), in 2008 I started my PhD at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and graduated in 2011. Since early 2012, I was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Knowledge Interaction and Intelligent Systems at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy. I have also collaborated with the High Performance Computing Lab of the ISTI-CNR in Pisa, as a Research Associate. My research areas of interest are Web Search, Statistical/Machine Learning, and Online Computational Advertising.
When not at work, I love spending time with my wife either travelling or just having a spritz (a popular happy-hour cocktail in Italy) in the weekend. Also, I like swimming, skiing, and riding motorbike.
