Simao Herdade is a mathematics PhD, who in the transitioned from pure academic research in combinatorial number theory, to applied computer vision.
Having worked for Clarifai, one of the computer vision pioneer startups, he is now responsible for developing deep learning models for images and video understanding at Yahoo, a Verizon company.
